Kick off the Chinese New Year at the Walters! With beating drums, cymbals

herald the Year of the Tiger (“tigers” were born in 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950,
1962, 1974, 1986 and 1998). Traditionally, the Lion Dance promises good
fortune, which the Walters celebrates for a second year as part of Exploring

education programs investigating the arts of China, Japan and India.
The Walters Art Museum is located on MTA bus routes 3, 11, 61, and 64.
